USING EBSCOHOST: TRUNCATION

TRUNCATION

Truncation is a method of searching in which the asterisk symbol (*) replaces the rest of a search term. This directs the retrieval process to return not only the root word, but additional forms of that word.

For example, use teach* to return results for teach, teacher, and teaching.
