INTRODUCTION

Decimals, fractions, and percentages are used everywhere in the real world. From tipping on your bill to paying for a bill to calculating sales when shopping, nobody can avoid any of those 3 concepts. The methods in this LibGuide should ease the pain of calculating what decimals and fractions mean in relation to percentages.

TWO CALCULATIONS

1. Decimal to Percent:

2. Fraction to Percent:

All fractions are the same as division, so we can divide the numerator by the denominator to get a decimal form. After we get our decimal, you can choose any strategy you want to convert the decimal to percent.
